Senior Living Advisor is a locally owned New Jersey company offering free personalized advice to you or your loved one to determine the best options for either Aging in Place or transitioning to a new home or assisted living community.
If a transition is needed, we help with downsizing/decluttering, selecting a new home/community, home sale and moving.
If you or your loved one is seeking information about senior placement, care at home, or downsizing, we are here to help you.
If it’s the right time to make a move, we will explore all available options, including ranch homes, single-floor condos, 55+ communities, Independent Living Communities, Assisted Living Communities, and Memory Care. To find the appropriate senior living community for you, we take into account your medical, financial, and geographical needs, as well as your personal preferences and interests.
Our goal is to help you prepare for a successful transition, ensuring that you feel comfortable, welcomed, and well cared for in your new senior living community.
If you’re concerned about a loved one, often the research, assessment, and recommendations are better received when coming from a third-party professional rather than directly from you.

“I'm writing to recommend Judy Collan's services as an excellent Real Estate Professional and Coordinator of Relocations. I live in North Carolina and my mother lives in New Jersey. When it was time for mom to move into assisted living, I did my best to find a senior living property that she would really enjoy. Then, at the same time that I was in need of a Real Estate Professional to help me sell mom's home, we learned that mom would need memory care instead of just assisted living. At this time Judy came into my life. I found her understanding of my circumstances and needs to be spot on, and her ability to address them practical and effective. More so than any other Real Estate Professional that I had contact with at that time. Judy recommended memory care properties and helped me find a memory care property that I'm very happy to call my mom's new home. Judy helped me through the math of determining what exactly we would need in order to support mom in her new home and laid out the plan for selling my mom's home that would get us there. Judy understood the need for speed so that we could relocate my mom to her new safer home. She staged my mom's home with my mom's furnishings, so that it looked as lovely and welcoming as my mom always intended it to be. She developed a spreadsheet so that we could review and discuss the pros and cons of each offer. She secured a cash offer above asking price with inspections waived. This allowed us to close quickly and walk away with the funds needed to take care of my mom. Did I mention that Judy did all of this while I was in North Carolina? She did a wonderful job of keeping me informed of each step in the showing and closing process. She managed all of the details required to reach closing and she found the resources needed along the way to make sure that my mom's furnishings were removed from the home and donated to those who needed and would appreciate them. She even ensured that the WiFi box was returned and credited to my mom's account. While I consider every step of this process to have been completed by Judy above and beyond my expectations, I'd like to share an additional example of what Judy did for my family that meant so much to me. Judy took the time to prepare my mom's new little apartment in the Memory Care Property for her arrival. She hung a floral wreath from my mom's home on the door of her new apartment. She filled the space with family photos and favorite decor. She had my mom's favorite robes, slippers, shoes and clothes hung in the closet and folded in the dresser. She had my mom's toiletries in the bathroom. And had chocolate waiting in mom's new fridge. Judy then took photos of all of her work in the new apartment so that I would know exactly what my mom was walking into as she started her new adventure in memory care.
